I started my
mechanical career when I went into the U.S. Air Force in 1951. I left the Air
Force in 1961. The shop I went to work for started me in air conditioning (AC).
I installed AC units and did electrical and system repair. I started teaching A/C
in 1965 as an independent instructor. I taught for REMAC Air Conditioning, Mark
Four, Climatic Air, Frigette Air, and Frigiking Air throughout Arizona for a few
years. In 1968, I started teaching as an associate professor in the Maricopa
County Jr. College System, Phoenix, AZ. and did so for nearly twenty years. This
was evening training, so I worked as a mechanic during the day.
I started my own service center in 1974 and sold out in 1989 and became a
tech rep for Moog Automotive who also owned Everco and Murrey Air Conditioning.
I taught throughout the southwest for eight years. After that, I became a
technical advisor and instructor for a local re-manufacturer of AC compressors
and taught throughout the southern U.S. In 2000, along with partners, I started
Rmacc Hose Company. We manufacture AC hoses for import cars as well as do hose
repair. I teach as an independent instructor throughout the major markets of the
