About the author:

I started my mechanical career when I went into the U.S. Air Force in 1951. I left the Air Force in 1961. The shop I went to work for started me in air conditioning (AC). I installed AC units and did electrical and system repair. I started teaching A/C in 1965 as an independent instructor. I taught for REMAC Air Conditioning, Mark Four, Climatic Air, Frigette Air, and Frigiking Air throughout Arizona for a few years. In 1968, I started teaching as an associate professor in the Maricopa County Jr. College System, Phoenix, AZ. and did so for nearly twenty years. This was evening training, so I worked as a mechanic during the day.

I started my own service center in 1974 and sold out in 1989 and became a tech rep for Moog Automotive who also owned Everco and Murrey Air Conditioning. I taught throughout the southwest for eight years. After that, I became a technical advisor and instructor for a local re-manufacturer of AC compressors and taught throughout the southern U.S. In 2000, along with partners, I started Rmacc Hose Company. We manufacture AC hoses for import cars as well as do hose repair. I teach as an independent instructor throughout the major markets of the U. S.
